hen a vessel reaches the end of its life, usually 15-20 years, it is sold for recycling, our yards in the Indian subcontinent, Turkey and Europe make sure that each and every part of the vessel is safely recycled and resold, we strictly monitor the process from the beginning to the end, and after.

What parts are recycled?

The ship’s steel is cut into truck size plates and re-used in steel/re-rolling mills to build bars and rods, scrap is sent to furnaces to be melted into other products.

The ship’s generators, pumps, main engine and other machineries onboard are resold into the second-hand market.

All the Hazardous materials are handled and disposed safely as per regulations.

All the non-ferrous metals derived from cables and panels are resold as well as lifeboats, furniture, galley items and various other reusables are sold to the local community.

100% of the material that is generated in the recycling process is accounted for and recycled.
